Women’s leather belts, made by hand
We have been making women’s leather belts in our workshop since 2016. Massimiliano learned the craft in some of the best workshops, which is why our belts are sewn completely by hand, with no machinery, and the difference is something you can both see and feel.
Materials and craft
Plenty of brands produce and sell belts, yet not all of them manage to turn this simple accessory into a genuine luxury object. The models available
All our women’s belts are made in leather, a material drawn from the hide through the tanning process, and that particular work gives a final piece that is high in quality and stands up to time. The simpler models, just as important for defining a look, are many: Gaia, Lavinia, Thania, Sabina, Iris, Camilla, Mirta, Domitilla, Latina, Oriana and more.
Each model represents the character and taste of the woman who wears it, and every one is sewn by hand stitch by stitch with a special waxed thread, a detail that holds all the skill and care of Italian craftsmanship. Each accessory comes in many colors and with a buckle unlike the next. For the eternal romantics there is the Gaia belt, with a double silver-tone zamak buckle, while anyone after personality and strength might prefer the Oriana, with an embroidered zamak buckle 5.5 cm wide for a look with real character.
A sustainable way of working
Our women’s belt collection is made in certified vegetable-tanned leather. This tanning method uses age-old techniques and natural raw materials, since the hides turn in wooden drums with natural tannins extracted from plants and tree bark. A mix of animal and vegetable fats gives the leather its softness and its unmistakable leather scent, and the hide is then painted with aniline, which does not cover the grain but leaves it clearly visible. For that reason you will not find a single chrome-tanned women’s belt in our range, since chrome tanning relies on substances that pollute and harm both people and the environment.
